Icon burn on!

I'm with Pat here. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to buy a cd I knew I'd enjoy, but one is taking a total leap of faith it's tough to spend $16-25 on what one could basically become a coaster.

If I get a burned cd-r, and love the disc, I'm going to get an original copy.

One thing I do now is rather than just buying a disc and hoping I like it is to spend the same money going to see the artist live. If you don't like them live, how much are you going to like their studio efforts? And if they kick god almighty ass live then you can be pretty confident that the recordings are going to be fun as well.

Of course there are people out there that aren't going to buy the disc no matter how much they like the cd-r, but in that case they are just cheap unappreciative bastages. I have friends I share music with that do spend money on live and recorded music, and I have friends that don't so I don't share.

And then of course there's the OOP stuff. God bless those that share stuff that can't even be found anymore.
