some comes to mind....
Off course being dane I would say pretty much all the Dogme movies would fit the bill - especially good is "Italian for beginners" and "the Celebration" although the later has a bleak subject matter...
A couple of american ones which surpirised me positively is "the Good Girl"(Jenifer Aniston actually acting ;-) ), "Storytelling" and "Happiness" by Todd Solendz and "The Station Agent"
