now, correct me if i'm wrong (there's a rare opportunity, eh?), but in Singapore, if you're caught chewing gum in public or tossing your wad (easy, boys..) on the street, the penalty is caning. does anyone recall the American kid who was caught doing graffiti there a few years back and the resulting hullabaloo?
