(Just AS Sad) Was the constant media and public parade that followed. What I mean to say is, Pat Tilman became an officer and fought in the War we should have been fighting, not the one over oil, with no public fanfare. He declined the media and wanted no attention whatsoever. He believed he was no different than any other soldier fighting and deserved no greater attention. What happened?, well you all know, you saw the magazine covers, the stories, the tributes, the wrist bands, the t-shirts, the DVD's, etc. the It was the complete opposite of what Pat's lifestyle and legacy was.

I remember seeing Pat allot when he was a student at ASU. He was an extremely nice young man and very gracious talking to complete strangers, including myself. He's what my grand parents used to say: He's "good people".
