Poor Pat...playing the victim. Of the things you listed - the only one I consider - in your words - far right - is you being anti gay. Christian? Come on. Your party doesn't own any religion. You might be flinging it around to fit your agenda...but being Christian doesn't make you - again in your words - far right...not even close (and you don't own the flag either). Also - being anti-abortion is not being far-right. I think most people who don't want government taking away a women's right to choose would like to see a society where fewer abortions take place, where sex education isn't considered a pathway to unbridled sex, and prenatal conseling isn't held hostage by the anti-abortion lobby. Your last qualifier is laughable as well. Owning a gun does not make you far right. I live in WV...I know better.

Your list is exactly how your party has gained the power they currently hold by dividing this country along these ridiculous lines....so I can see why you align (and poo poo your victim status) with them.

If I was going to start a list of what makes the far right - I would probably start with their disdain for entitlement programs....any and all of them including any sensible debate about universal healthcare. Then I would add their disdain for putting the health of the environment ahead of any and all corporate interests. Anti worker's rights would also be on that list.

And to be honest - your post gives me the impression that you're taking the high road in the fact that you're not some blind Bush believer. This fleeting brush with reality doesn't make you a free thinker all of a sudden.
