"Kevin's all-time favorite tunes from his room"

.) Astral Weeks-Van Morrison. I was very late in the discovery of this little gem. The one album I will not leave this earth without.

.) The Pretender-Jackson Browne. I was young, I was lost and very naive at the time I first discoverd Jackson Browne's music. Quite possibly the greatest album he ever recorded.

.) Lone Justice-Lone Justice. I still remember seeing Maria McKee and the boy's "Ways To Be Wicked" video on MTV! I went straight to the record shop and bought my first copy have been through numerous since. Can't wait for her new CD. It should be out early next year.

.)Strange Times-The Chameleons. Angry white kid enters art college even more confused then before. This album got me through some rough times. Critics call it their worst, but it happens to be me fav.

.)Throwing Muses-Throwing Muses. Wow, powerful and at times frightful recording from Kristin Hersh(bi-polar queen) and company. Influenced many of my music choices after.

.)The Joshua Tree-U2. I remember crying, the first time I heard this album. Some people pick up a guitar when they are influenced by a great recording. I put mine in the closet for years!

.)If I Should Fall From Grace With God-The Pogues. To bad Shane couldn't put down that damn bottle! This record captures the band at it's peak. Influenced me to many other great Celtic artists.

.)The Law Of Things-The Bats. God I love New Zealand/Flying Nun pop from the 80's-90's. Perfect sugar coated, jangly guitar pop. I later discovered the entire Flying Label roster.

.)Blue Sky Mine-Midnight Oil. At the peak of my political/social awareness, this album was released. It stayed in my 'heavy stereo rotation' all year. I remember many road trips and good times when this was playing in our ears.

.)The Man Who-Travis. If only "She's So Strange" was omitted from this recording, then it would be the one album I take to the afterlife. Plus, they were the best concert I've ever seen. Seen them three times, great live show.
