I want to wait and see what the final word is on the investigation before I think one thing or another about Mr. Townshend.  The way the story has been spun to me says that he contacted Scotland Yard when he heard of the investigation but not before looking at the website.  IF he was doing some sort of research, he probably should have contacted Law Enforcement FIRST, so they would know and he would not spark an investigation in the first place.  I guess I shouldn't fault him too much, a man who's spent his life destroying musical equipment probably doesn't excel in research methodology. (Yes, that's my opinion!

I've been a fan of Townshend's since childhood.  ...Chinese Eyes, White City and the scoop series are perenieal favorites of mine and I've seen him playing solo and with the Who a few times and I find his music thought provoking and a great deal of fun.  But hey, being a fabulous musician does not necessarily mean you're good all the way through.  So, let's watch and see what the experts say and hope this was just a big misunderstanding.
