Poor guy was hit by a bus in NY. He was in all three Godfather movies and even though he played a mobster in those, he often times played cop-like characters.Recall a few years ago he played an aging hitman on the Sopranos. One of my favorite roles for him was in "Beautiful Girls" as the father of the Timothy Hutton character...."golf's on.....want to watch some...golf?"A great character actor....
