It would seem, Pat, you are up against many enemies and all with the same goal according to you. The ACLU, liberals, Democrats, the New York Times and all of Big Media, judges, doctors (that gets Gene in), scientists, professors and teachers of all stripes just about...or just all of our educational system, anyone that supports a woman's right to choose, anyone who didn't vote for Bush, anyone that does not support attacking Iraq, Jews, all same sex couples, celebrities, people from Massachusetts, my commie comrade Peter, the folks from the Shire, any pacifist, Canadians (Gene has two strikes), all of Europe (except Tony Blair)...they have all been accused of wanting to destroy Christianity...and that's just the short list.
Reg I am what you would call a traditionalist. A realistic Christian who understands the state of the nation. As a traditionalist I see the following above attacking the traditions I grew up with

1.  Be accountable
2.  A marriage is between a man and a women
3.  You can open epouse your religion in school unless that religion happens to be Christianity. The ACLU has a very tight agenda and it is obvious that they are looking out for a select group, mainly liberals and gays. I cannot understand the threat they see with Christians because they certainly don't see the threat of Islam. Sorry I forgot about 1 and 2 they don't want that.

So the idea is to take all the folks on the above list and at the right moment link them to Muslims and Islam, which of course in some land of backward logic = terrorists. We are all united in one cause, fueled by hate, and we just won't quit until we sterilize this planet of Christianity. It's always about "hating Christians" is that your main point or concern here?

I'm not paranoid if that is what you are getting at but I'm not blind either. I see what the mainstream press harps on day after day and what they don't. It's not hard to figure out which team they are pulling for. 

I hope you can see that this worldview could easily, and rightly, be seen as...well...a little wacky.  You've entered a world of paranoia there, Pat, that is so Byzantine it's no surprise people are wondering if you are on medication.
Again you might look at the attacks by Radical Islamist on innocent people there Reg. I'm very sorry that you cannot grasp the obvious but it is obvious you cannot.

Well, because Christians learned over the decades that Jesus for the most part had his head up his ass with this pacifism crap and got nailed to a cross for turning his cheek too many times. They also discovered that they would get fed to the lions, used as tiki torches at parties, and generally get run out of town if they stuck to what Jesus had to say. So, they developed a new and more practical world view, which involved killing your enemy before he had a chance to smack your cheek the first time.
Yep and maybe that is why you are not speaking German right about now. You guys are so quick to guard the freedoms that you think are being jeopardized by Bush and Co. What do you think those freedoms will be if he fails? Maybe you just don't think that far.

This may not line up with what Jesus said but if they did not do this they figured there would be no Christians left. So now we have this new form of "Preemptive Christianity" which is what George W. Bush is...he's a "Preemptive Christian" and he carpet bombed Iraq because they may have thought about something that may have possibly involved some sort of attack or support of an attack at sometime in the future...maybe...of the United States. Not to mention there was a bunch of dirty evil Muslims squatting on land that may have been where the Garden of Eden was and other such historically significant biblical sights...as well as having a...ummm...fuckload of oil beneath them.

I hope it's somewhat clear, Pat, that getting you to believe that all the people on the above list are just out to "destroy Christainity" is just a giant scam to get you to go along. If you wiped out all the people on that list in hopes of creating a better "Christian world" you'd be destroying the United States and any kind of Democracy. Not to mention all kinds of people who would be needed to make this a better world. It's not lost, on me at least, that building this sort of distrust in the general public in the people and institutions on that list serves only some narrow and destructive political agenda. Personally, I feel it's no accident who is targeted on that list because if we are taught to distrust the media, scientists, doctors, judges, educators, politicians...well this pretty much teaches us to distrust all areas from which vital information flows and all systems that stand in the way of the United States becoming some sort of fascist dictatorship. Remove all those checks and balances and the corporations are free to run the planet and do as they please. It's also not lost that it is the corporations that profit most from this "war"...not the people, not democracy, not anything of the sort.

It's not Islam and Muslims you need to fear, Pat, it's radical fundamentalists of any stripe...including Christians. You need to fear bloodthristy, greedy world leaders. You need to fear a world in which you are a subject of some corporation and not the citizen of a free country.

You want some solutions? There are solutions on the table already and most have been ignored. I think there is one solution that is embraced by the powers that be though...depopulation...flush all those people in Third World countries right down the hopper. Plauge, disease, starvation, holocaust, war...unleash them all until we thin the herd to acceptable numbers...our numbers...the numbers we choose...that would solve a lot of problems for a while. We're using up our natural resources and one way to make them last longer is to have fewer people that need them. It's a dark view I know but you should know it's one of the ways out. The best way to get people to go along is to convince them they are a target...you seem convinced.
