yep..and i'm not a big katie couric fan but look at the flak she took when it came out (accurately or not) that she felt as a single parent (read: mother) that she had to think twice about putting herself in harm's way in any possible war zone. although i think that this double standard also causes great harm for men/fathers who feel they must live up to some post-dated machismo standard. not easy for anybody these days and always a skewed balance of power in families.
