good bass thread....been meaning to start one like this a coupla weeks ago, when i dug out a bunch of discs by The Call, that Santa Cruz band from the 80's/90's. i don't think i'd ever quite realized what a bad-ass bassist Michael Been is. seriously. great tone, lots of crazy slides, hard plucking, very creative yet still song-supportive. anyone else get that?
