"Tough part would be...finding a sponsor (gotta work on that one)."

Shouldn't be too difficult. Sponsors usually want to invest in products and services that convey the message and image they'd like to send to potential customers, right? Like a Who Budweiser tour- rock and roll and beer- or football and big Chevy trucks tearing up the landscape.

So. Let's see- public executions.... Well, Phillip Morris comes to mind: they've been in the business for a long time. Or how about one of our many arms manufacturers? I'd think they'd jump at the opportunity. "This execution brought to you by the Boeing Company". Or as Mick points out, the Christian church could certainly get behind something like this. It might affect their non-profit status, but they could always get their Republican cronies to write an exemption, say it's for a new narthex or something.

Or what about the Republican party themselves? Public executions certainly reflect their get tough law n order agenda and speak well for their social agenda. Assemble a few large groups of elementary school children for the event (don't want to miss anopportunity to instill values) and proclaim "I'm Senator ____________ and I approved this execution."

Let your imagination run free, like a Chevy truck in a fragile wetland.
