I can remember a couple of college road trips from Champaign to western Wisconsin which always seemed to be the weekend before Thanksgiving.  As soon as we crossed the Wisconsin line here were always more vehicles with dead deer strapped to the top, hood, sides, whatever than there were vehicles with no deer.  After a while it just seemed normal.

It wound up being a benefit for us, since the local guys would be out hunting rather than at the parties, so we had much better odds with the ladies....
