The Wood County Sheriff's Department is looking for a 79-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man who hasn't been seen since Saturday afternoon.

Richard Guzman was last seen at about 1 p.m. Saturday leaving his hunting shack in the town of Hansen. Guzman is in the early stages of dementia and is not very mobile, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with glasses and graying hair. He was last seen wearing a blaze orange jacket.

An extensive search throughout Saturday night, directed by the Pittsville Fire Department, and involving Wood County authorities and Headwaters Search Team dogs, did not locate Guzman. An extensive air search by Saint Joseph's Hospital Air Spirit on Sunday morning also failed to locate him.

Hunting party and family members continued a ground search during the daylight hours Sunday.

He has dementia? And he goes into the woods with a gun by himself? Pass the cheese!
