But I don't understand the pervasive resistance of arrest that normally precedes these incidents.
I'm not sure "resistance" has had much to do with the highly publicized shootings (or broom handle rapes) by NYC's Finest in the past few years.
You might surmise that three people coming out of a club at 4AM had some alcohol on board, but that certainly doesn't justify putting fifty rounds into them.
Doesn't seem unlikely that any cop facing a shooting review is going to claim that the shootee was "resisting".
