In recent interviews he seems quite the sensible fellow. A big
government guy, so I don't agree with many of his remedies, but
he pretty clearly identifies the problems.
Were the people of Cleveland nutters when Dennis was
elected
mayor? What? twice or three times. And even nuttier each of the
times he has been reelected to Congress? Perhaps ideologically
speaking, but realistically, not the sort of raving loon who would
clearly be unelectable.
As Messy was pointing out the other day, reasonably honest
politicians are often painted badly in the press. And if anything,
Dennis Kucinich does speak plainly.

ps I suspect the American public, were they to hear him
frequently, would probably take to him. But again, as with the
press coverage, will he receive the necessary funding to buy that
amount of free speech.
