Hey all:I've been trying to get my PC to "hear" a microphone, and having no luck. I have a Tascam US-144, run to the PC through the USB port, and have plugged the mic into the "mic in" plug. The mic is on, and I've tried with "phantom power" both on and off.I thought the USB connection was all I would need between the Tascam and the PC, but is that not right? Do I also need to connect through the "line out" and/or "digital" ports?I'm running Cubase LE, and when I attempt to record an audio track using the mic, I get nothing.I can use Cubase LE to make files using a sound file that already exists on the computer, so that part works . . .But I can't, evidently, get a sound from my mic to the computer.Any clues? My mid-life crisis music career will thank you. I might even record a song about you, which no one will ever hear. Come to think of it, I could do that now . . .Herring405
