I'm more than squeamish, I'm frightened that this president believes that it is his calling and our country's mission to do God's work in ridding the world of evil men. I'm concerned that this president takes his cues from a book written by men, not written by or inspired by God, centuries ago. A book that is full of historical inaccuracies, bigotry and vile notions of justice.

Doesn't the Bible say that when one prays one should go into one's closet to do it? A little less public religiousity would be welcome from the White House not to mention a little more accurate view of the world. The world is not always as black and white as Bush sees it. There are nuances that his childlike view fails to take into account.

As to Joe Strummer, there has not been a trace of god-like status afforded to him on this board.
