Well, based upon her behaviour and that picture of her at the police station, I would say she is just a tad deranged. What scares me most is that even with the thorough screening and filtering that goes on in selecting Astronauts (and the rigors involved in completing an Astronaut program in the first place), that this sort of latent psychopathology can go undetected. What's to prevent someone like that flipping out in space on a mission, and causing a terrible disaster? Sci fi material for sure, but in "real life" a very frightening possibility.
