I went to a mini-talk on this vaccine (ok - it was a paid dinner) - and the reason there isn't a vaccine yet is because it hasn't passed all the trials in males yet. The trials for the vaccine were with females. Females face a much greater risk of developing cancer from HPV (human papillomavirus) than males (quite a bit more) - so I'm guessing that's why the vaccine has been targeted at them. Now granted, males can contract (and pass along) HPV so at some point the vaccine will probably be given FDA approval for them as well.Danbtw, the dinner was pretty good
