Due to your proximity, you may know that Vermont's legislature has avowed to make global warming its top priority this session. But, and I have read series of letters from key legislators, saying, they're not interested in hearing from expert dissenters from major institutions like MIT etc.; because they are a minority viewpoint. And they see themselves as completely open minded in their intellectual censorship, including when they cut off discussion accusing the writers of not being sensitive to the earth, or future generations of children.

Btw, there are those who think the warming of the earth to 12th century tempatures would diminish human starvation in the northern hemisphere. Y'know, when Greenland had vineyard's, and was dubbed with its odd name.

Thinking isn't so difficult, but it does take a little training(contrast & compare), followed by the considerable effort that's required to believe the empirical data rather than the perpetual propaghanda we are surrounded by. Like SI doing global warming stories?!??!?!?!? That should be a tell.
