for me it still comes down to this, GMountain:

since, IYHO [based on your posts], you incline towards the idea that global warming is cyclical/natural,

?!? I absolutely believe various natural cyclical processes are making their rounds with their usual unpredictable results(depending on where one is standing on this globe).

whatever,

?!? Not 'whatever' Bear. Don't be dismissive that way, you're a better man than that.

do you feel that all’s well with the fervent use of resources lives & livelihood, status quo, indefinitely…,

?!? What I think, is that the folks purporting global warming the loudest have succumbed to the influence of public/private money; who too, for some decades now have attempted to manufacture just such an "earth/humanity threatening" crisis for the purpose of justifying government(s) micro managing humanity like livestock. The technology not only exists ...

I would remind you that in the first or second round of catastrophic environmentalism, during the mid '70's, the hysteria of choice was an imminent ice age.

There's just so much to explain. The short answer is that the managers of this world plan to reduce the human population by 50-90% in the next 40 to 240 years(depending on the source document; the UN # is bettern 50% by 2050 if I recall correct), in order to minimize personnel management and maximize the resources for themselves.

This colossal scam also serves an additional purpose in that it gives excuse to teach people to love the creation more than the creator. A world religion is necessary, which does not automatically include an appeal to natural law(as in the rights of men coming from the creator rather than from temporal kings and such), and, which provides for an internationally cohesive faith, precisely because it is recognized that men need to believe in something bigger than themselves. So pantheism, covers a good many bases. The documentation is plentiful ....

The only question is whether your mind is sufficiently open to believe the amazing plans that have been hatched for ourselves, and the full blown neo-feudalism future generations will assuredly believe to be normal.

Further, although I believe men could, and should, better live in harmony with the earth, that's not the way of men since we were shoved out of the garden. Last night(Charlie Rose), the CEO of Mobil/Exxon seemed extremely upbeat about the future of petroleum, while talking about their 30 some billion quarterly profit and their intention to continue the on-going success of their stock buy back program.

Finally, on this point anyhow, the bait being offered and swallowed is defeatist. If everything is as bad as we're lead to believe, why isn't there an extra ordinary national, or international, push to develop alternatives rather than move populations back toward subsistence standards(be assured, that is one of the intended consequences of the unofficial allowance of illegal immigration-the free movement of human capitol as described in the SPP documents), while they profit at their latest financial scam, carbon credits? Why aren't we mining the moon? Certainly, the technology exists, to make humanity less dependent on petrol. So yes, I believe the status quo is being changed. Just not for the reasons we're being sold. Nor to benefit folks like you or I.

until every river & every stream and every lake and plot of land, mountain, sacred burial mound, tree, bird of prey, every living thing under the sun, is usurped, bought-off and gated by private ownership and this land that’s your land is by invitation only…until death do you part?

?!? These same people believe there should be no private ownership. No property rights. Making you but a stakeholder. Which term has a most interesting meaning, legally speaking, specific to Admiralty Law(I believe). Btw, all will be usurped, is being bought off, and will be gated except to the few. Ever heard of Agenda 21, the Bio-diversity Treaty, the Wildland's Project or any of the other legal documentation associated with those documents?

If not, let me thumbnail it for you. The portion of the plan affecting North America calls for cordoning off more than 50% of North American from humanity admittance. A variety of means will be employed to restrict North Americans to Human Habitats. Global warming rationals among them. A major factor with be a number of north/south transportation "Corridors", such as the TransTexas Corridor. Too, there is an east/west TranContinental Corridor. These Corridors will be at least 300 hundred yards wide(while some claim the right of way will amount to something closer to a 10 mile swath), they will contain multi lane specialized highways(with very limited access points, and in fact many of the leases that have already been signed contain clauses saying parallel highways cannot be maintained and of course, formerly intersecting roads will simply require dead end signage), and fiber optics lines, and oil and gas pipelines and trains and any other essential infrastructure I've forgotten to mention. It's really quite practical from a systems point of view.

This in turn, will create Wildland's Corridors, as envisioned by the Wildland's Project, among other UN certified NGO programs. There are also plans for "rewilding" these areas. E.g., in the north western US and western Canada the rewilding program includes returning elephants(in lieu of wooly manmouths), and a variety of big cats among other creatures that have been determined to closely recreate wildlife conditions prior to serious human interference with the area(at a minimum, pre 15th century).

During this transformation of our nation, humanity will be diminished to more manageable numbers, as technology already makes the vast majority of us, useless eaters, of no value in the cost/benefit analysis of the managers; and a marginal standard of living will be the norm for those that remain in the condensed and confining Human Habitats.

It takes some searching, followed by arduous reading, but, as with PNAC, the plans are written down. (These are very legalistic folk, because, their whole system is built on legal fictions.) Once a fair measure of reading has been done, as with PNAC related documents, it is impossible to miss the connection between the plans and the observational data of recent history.

Or do you think there should be some level of common responsibility for the people & the lands that liberty coerced?

?!? I presume you're referring to the conceptualization described as, the"Commons" the oxymoronic left libertarians, and progressive are selling. If so, it's a quaint and compelling idea that amounts to marxism dressed up right nice fer pluckin heart felt strings of the hearer. It is requiring, and will require -primarily- psychological coercion, sometimes called social engineering, to accomplish those ends. Which, with an impending crisis of this magnitude, it should be incredibly easy to move entire populations. (You must surrender your liberties if we're to save you from the lifestyle we've sold you.) Particular because far and away the argument(s) are restricted to little more than bumper sticker platitudes designed to elicit emotional responses.

Do you realize Bear, you are suggesting human liberty should not be allowed? That human liberty is intrinsically bad?

If yes, then since anything these “leaders” eventually “give in to”, through public-eventuality-&-the-judicial-system, is brought about (not by their own great gestures of benevolence and wisdom-born-of-heart-&-verisimilitude but) by getting fackin busted on it and taken to task, the push for reason and Earth in the Balance consideration, amongst other logic and commonsense based notions of thought and action, in lieu of manipulation of the masses for sake of big dollar lobbies as hobbies,

?!? However, as I've already alluded to in some detail, the people who determine 'what' the status quo 'is', are simply selling a new status quo. Like all snow jobs, it sounds good and decent, and like your idea. Think about it MB, would this really be happening if the big money lobbies weren't essentially behind it, too?

C'mon Man. Don't you realize that private property ownership tends to provide the best management for the long term. Don't you remember that governments, despite their PR firms, invariably mismanage our funds and best interests? Have you forgotten history? Were you taught much ... and who teaches most Americans?

I suggest to you, a better solution, is to turn men loose by minimizing laws. And it would only take a few laws, that will never be passed, to alter our present situation -in terms of results and diminishing undue influence- more to both of our liking.

Ol' Tom Jefferson wanted allodial land rights, rather than the feudal property law we've devolved back too(excepting Nevada I believe); which solves all sorts of problems because the machinations associated with property taxes have no color of law to be manipulated. Remember too, 'the pursuit of happiness' replaced the 'right to property' in the latter rewrite of the Declaration of Independence. He also wanted to limit corporatism. Among other things, not allowing inanimate organizations to devolve into being allowed what amounts to perpetual personhood. Meaning they never need die off, accumulating advantages and influence commoners won't ever overcome(as today), as but one example. He was also contrary to national banking system controlled by anyone other than the USG, per the Constitution. Again for fairly obvious reasons.

…is key in shaking the tree.. Yesterday may have been a hint @ a new start in a positive direction, time will tell.

?!? If you are referring to Scooter's verdict, you better start hummin along with Mama Cass. Scooter clammed up fer a reason. Scooter's don't shake the tree, once the facts of their fate spook them into compliance, an institution of others choosing, or some sort of untimely death. People really need to clarify in their minds the still present ramifications of the US Supreme Court cutting short the defined Constitutional process in order to anoint George Dubya President. He ain't going no where. And if Cheney leaves, he's takin' an awfully cushy fall fer the team. Politics is nothing if not theater Bear. Especially these day with image consultant's and Karl Rove. If Machiavelli lives anywhere, it's here among us Americans.

If our “leaders” were actually the best people for the job instead of the richest, greediest, most self-regarding people for the job, we could rest assured…and get down to matters at home~~knowing our roads are paved, glasses half full…& borders just & certified.

?!? It's funny you mention paving the roads. One of our recent clients, a Brazilian, explained to me that every fourth year, Brazilians suffer from a shortage of fuel oil. The reason, elections are every fourth year, and Brazilian political tradition calls for currying favor by paving the roads(as cheaply as possible, meaning the quality allows for exceeding election day).

Proving? People everywhere let the politicians lie to them, rarely able to break the corruption cycle of their history. Given our potential, we're really quite pathetic because theoretically speaking, we the people have all the power, if we would but contest the inequities of our laws and leaders collectively. Yes, I believe in that sort of collectivism, just not national unions. We could reverse the invasion of Iraq. But that would require a level of mutual respect and conviction an instant gratification consumption society does not nurture. Which is by design, imho.

But that’s just my humble run-on opine, Green….

& I’m not sure of any of it, it’s only ideas within ideas,

My publicly schooled brain overloaded too many moons ago

…by the weight of this heavy decade.

All messybeared & rapt-lyrical & spliced.

!!! You seem well equipped to Bear up to it.

[let me guess your response: “…Huh…Messy, come again?” …So be it]

Guessed wrong neighbor.-) You were trying to be understood, rather than be artistic in your special way(which can be difficult to comprehend for me because my brain views it as some sort of artistic legalese(even though I did a great deal of such styling beyond 30 years thence). And my soul hates legalese cause it's invariably lop-sided agin regular peaceable folk like us).
