I am one of the lucky few who has managed to stay on board when Fish left. I had seen them way back in 83 on the 'Script' tour and had never liked Genesis. I loved the jester and Fish's lyrics were great singalong anthems at times...Fugazi....where are the prophets...? When H joined and the band reinvented themselves most of the fans I knew didn't take to this. Fish bottomed out and I was dismayed to see him at the town and country club dan' in 'ol Ketish town with a band of mercenaries...just good 'musicianings' (another zappa-ism) whose songwriting skills were nought...Brave is as good as anything they've done ever...but lately they're going a bit poppy...I bumped into Steve Rothery at the Scala in Tottenham Court road way back he was producing a band called Jadis...i was really blotto so when he came out of the Gents I laughingly threw my arms around him in good 'ol matey style and told him that he was the dog's bollocks of a guitar player with beautiful vibrato technique...ahem....and he kind of disappeared when I told him I was going to bring over all my mates to say hello...H can sing...he can really get in there and twist the ol heartstrings when he wants to but being english they tend to shy away from being sincere...belch...oh fuck sorry Chris!! ha ha ha
