I just got back from a weekend in Manhattan and really I could have used a life raft to get out of there. They closed the Henry Hudson Parkway while I was sitting on it and the river did look to be about to swallow the road. 3 hours just to get out of New York! I spent a very long time just sitting on the HH Parkway listening to Brad Mehldau and staring at this sign that had different messages scrolling across it in big red letters. One of which was "Don Imus gives up job as radio idiot to become circus clown."
