OK. But this is the last time. Your statements appear in quotes.

"I don't understand why you accuse me of using "basic intellectual dishonesty to defend the indefensible." I don't know what you mean by that."

Kevin, your intellectual dishonesties are scattered throughout all of your statements. For instance, you mention "50,000,000 abortions", and call it a holocaust. You neglect to mention that you're talking about 50,000.000 abortions over the last 45 years, according to multiple sources, including the only reputable source, the Guttmacher Institute. You further muddy the waters by implying that these 50,000,000 abortions are late term abortions, when in fact late term abortions make up less than 1.5% of that total. You further imply that late term abortions go as high as the last weeks of pregnancy, when in fact that is virtually unheard of. Late term abortion is generally considered to be an abortion of a 20 weeks to 27 weeks gestation. You further muddy the waters by implying that these late term pregnancies are performed for any other reason than dire medical necessity--severe brain damage, external organs, the health of the mother, etc... You further compound your intellectual dishonesty by comparing your fraudulent numbers to the choice to go to war with another nation based on what are now proven lies.

"When I read your post below and responded in the way that I did it was because it was obvious that you were upset over the loss of 3 more soldiers in Iraq."

One of the most powerful and famous photos from The Holocaust (the Jewish one from World War II, you know, that one, the one with the gas chambers and death camps, the one whose unique reality you diminish with your conflating it to a pack of concocted numbers and factoids for your own mysterious and dishonest purpose) is the photo of a child's shoe. Are people struck with grief by the sight of an empty shoe? No, of course not. The shoe symbolises the whole mess, it's a focusing point, which allows people to comprehend the enormity of incomprehensible events. 5 US soldiers died today in Iraq. More will die tomorrow, and more the day after, and the day after that, until we get the fuck out of there, you jiveass piece of shit. But there's more to it than that. 150 Iraqis died by political violence today, and the same will probably die tomorrow, and the day after that, you sanctimonious, hypocritical sack of pus. Our international reputation has never been lower, and for good reason, you querulous, brain-impaired toady to cultism. In honor of this war, our treasury has been plundered by the worst bunch of hoodlums in my recollection, and the recollection of most of the honest historians in the world, you simpering, inane twit.

"If it's the loss of life which motivates you then I'd love for you to get behind my cause. That's where I was coming from when I wrote what I did."

I'll pretend that I believe you, because I'm running out of insults.

"You mentioned that late term abortions are rare. That's a true statement in relation to how many abortions are performed in all. But for every soldier dying in Iraq there are three late term abortions being performed in our country. Is it still rare when viewed from that perspective? Reg may not think that's a fair comparison to make but I think it's worth considering. We make comparisons all the time in arguments."

The overwhelming number of late-term abortions are performed for dire medical necessity, so I think a fairer comparison would be to compare the number of late term abortions to cancer deaths per day. About 1500 per day.

"Certainly Saddam had us to thank for building him up as we did use him. Our world is complex and geopolitics are never black and white. You sometimes have to make deals with some bad people to further a more important cause...you know this. When the relationship goes sour do we remain in it or divorce ourselves from it?"

I've never been divorced, but I have many friends who have, and none of them, nor has anyone I've ever heard of, taken the opportunity of a divorce to bomb their spouse's neighborhood into the stone age.

"When you speak of "massive aerial bombing of a largely civilian population" in Iraq I have to wonder where you're getting your information from. I've always understood that any aerial attacks were very precise and great care is taken to avoid civilian casualties. If you have a source for that I'd be interested in seeing it. Thanks."

I suggest you look at news footage from the invasion. You may notice AC-130 Spookies, and Stealth bombers and the like dumping bomb bays full of 2000 pound bombs into the suburbs of Baghdad. You may want to look at the use of white phosphorus as a chemical anti-personnel weapon in Fallujah, Basra, Sadr City... You may want to look at the effects of white phosphorous on human, or any animal's skin and tissue. You may find yourself repulsed, but I doubt it, because at heart, you're a racist, an imperialist, and a theo-fascist, you bobble-headed, pathetic little worm.

I suggest you also find another left-wing songwriter/composer/singer/lyricist to harass with your intellectual dishonesty, and your mewling, pious hypocrisies. Because I'm past sick of you, and people like you, who have paved the way for the worst, most criminal, most unfathomably hypocritical gang of thieves and murderers that. at least in my understanding, this poor staggering nation of ours has ever seen, you reeky, fly-bitten mammet.

I beg of you, go curl up under a pew in your church with your pamphlets and bicycle, and leave me the fuck alone to contemplate my Django, and my Joyce, and my Byron, and my Beethoven, all of whom I believe would be amazed at the degree of sympathy, kindness and courtesy I'm displaying towards you right now, you snivelling, sodden snot rag.
