every day I read the local paper and I get to the 'world news' page and every day its 'X' amount of marines have died.and "x" amount of Iraqi's have died ..and every day I think..what for? in 10 years who the fuck will care?...apart from the families of the dead..and am so glad I dont have any loved ones over there dying for what they are led to believe is right...and feeling so sad for the (Iraqi) families of their young ones dying for what they are led to believe is right. For fuck sake..their country has been invaded, what would you do?

I recall a job I was working on recently ..on an Island in our harbour..and we had to get there by speedboat..then a local military exercise happened to coincide..and the Marines arrived and parked their big fucking ship in the harbour..and any local that got too close were welcomed by the lifting of the shrouds..a big gun appearing and a 'fuck off" by loudhailer (Politely, in that "Please Sir" marine voice) Shit..what had changed?..were we all of a sudden a threat to USfuckingA?..

It makes one wonder?( what if I was mentally unstable?with a death wish? and an access to explosives?

I still recall the first thought I had when I woke up to 911.."Shit..Iraq is going to cop it! "
