Is that not "incroyable" meaning incredible? I don't know of incruvable or whatever. Merde of course means shit.
There really isn't a french direct translation for the word fuck....there are phrases that mean something similar, but the word itself....I dunno, never heard it.
I am particularly partial to the French Canadian cusses having grown up in Quebec. Their direct translations are rather ridiculous though, because they are all based in religious phrases, and by themselves are not profain, but used in discourse, are kind of in the vein of g'damn...or whatever.
3 favs: "Tabernacle" (which of course means exactly that, Tabernacle), but is pronounced "Tabernack".
"Caliss" (which refers to the Chalice used during Catholic Mass), is pronounced "Cawlissss...."
and of course, "Esti" or "Oesti", which refers to the bread/wafer eaten in Church.
Now, putting 'em all together, here's a good one to use: Tabarnak d'osti de calisse ! (which really means, Tabernacle, bread, chalice).
