I'm not going to even address the happy horseshit in that article you posted, Greenie because it's so over the top it does not even merit discussion. It also is warped and shameful in more ways than I can count and the big tip off came right at the beginning when the boob that wrote that attempted to tie the word diversity to these murders. A quick search on the net turns up the info that this case has been embraced by white supremacists and KKK types nationwide to be used to attack the media, ACLU, government, and of course the "inferior races." These are all the usual suspects that the very far right would love to destroy by any means at their disposal.
In a word it's bullshit.
You have to understand that there are groups out there, Greenie, searching for these types of stories to use them for political opportunism and to meet their agenda. My best advice to you would be don't fall for it but I don't know how that will play with you.
So I'll just comment on what appear to be your own thoughts:
"I repeat, this will change your worldview, if you're one who believes that all men are basically good." -GM
It did not change my world view. On the second part of this sentence, I have an issue. I don't believe that "all men are basically good" because that would mean I'd have to believe that a guy like Hitler (the number one example of evil, right?) was basically good but he just went a little off track. That would be a pretty naive way of looking at the world. I believe there are good people and there are bad people and it's more likely we are all capable of either direction depending upon the external factors we encounter. It seems to me that a lot of religious folks like the "mankind bad, God good" story and I find that repulsive and about as deep as thinking the world is only 6000 years old and that Dino, Pebbles and Bam Bam rode on Noah's ark...ahh..."thanks for playing but you can go now" is pretty much my take on that.
So, to change my worldview you'll have to at least start with a story that has not been turned into propaganda written by a jackass.
