This is the guy:

His show is good, in that I will give him points for being a lot brighter and insightful than all the other people that do this stuff...meaning O'Reilly, Rush, and any of the other idiots out there. He can't stand Bush but he also prodded people to vote for him both times, now after the fact when it's too late he says this was a mistake. That's the talk radio route to being "fair and balanced" I guess. He is a Romney guy for the most part now but seems to also dig Rudy and openly says he will support any of the Republican candidates against any Democrat. He says, and I quote here, "Democrats are communists." I'm not kidding. Like any of these guys on the radio though, he says stuff that is meant to piss people off. He was a political consultant, which if you ask me pretty much combines all of the worst aspects of and cliches about used car salesmen and ambulance chasing lawyers and makes them come true in the most awful ways...ahhh...times ten. He's got the three S's down pat, slick, slimy and sleazy but he does have skills when it comes to debate and argument. So, rather than taking the Bill O'Reilly approach of just getting louder and shouting down your opponent when you are losing he will listen and then form some sort of interesting and provocative argument, even if it's wrong, to support his side. Due to his political background he is a master snake oil salesman and propagandist and does a great job choosing his words, which you would expect from a guy that spent an extensive amount of time teaching political candidates how to weasel out of all sorts of questions. He probably could out Karl Rove, Karl Rove if asked to, which to me makes him a very interesting specimen. People on this board would likely despise him, a lot of people here in Boston do. If you can listen just to observe him and turn off your emotional response whenever he flicks his forked tongue, I think people here would find him quite a science project.

If you want to hear somebody who can pitch a good game for the opposing team...somebody you can study to know what they are thinking at the top of the nasty neo-con food chain...this guy is your guy. He does not pretend to be a holy roller, does not babble about abortion, does not do the family values happy horseshit, in fact he admits to using prostitutes, supports a woman's right to choose, and does not try to con people with that sort of nonsense at all. He admits he likes to party, have a good time, loves strippers and hookers, and does not hide the fact that he is available for any of the ladies listening for drinks after the show. Meaning he is free of having to lug around the baggage a Republican politician would to get himself elected before getting caught in a men's bathroom. He even admits that years back somebody got their hands on a happy hooker's address book and he was in it and proud of it. He plays down and dirty and to do that you can't hide behind a bible. This is what makes him interesting, he's not trolling for Christians or right to lifers, he's basically saying the Republicans have to win because the Democrats are Communists and must be stopped at all costs. He thinks we should just bomb Iran and Iraq until they are nothing but a dust bowl we can pave over. His is a pretty simple straight forward philosophy...basically fuck everybody except the USA and make sure anybody left standing must bend over and take it the way we like it. He says outright that anybody that does not agree with that is not a patriot and is stupid. He sells it hard, fast and without any hocus pocus about issues like abortion, gun control, gay rights, or anything else. He was in a full on fit of rage when Libby was convicted. He's an interesting listen if you are ok with taking that trip into the heart of darkness where nothing matters but making sure the people who live in the right places survive. When you strip all the bullshit away that's what it's really about. That's a very seductive argument for a lot of people.

Bottom line is he's very good at what he does and like some song said "he loves to hurt the weak when they refuse to fight", which in my eyes makes him not much of a man.

I did not know about Palast giving that kid a job but I did not buy that video and something about it felt too hocus pocus. It was certainly one of those "see what you want to see" things and stuff like that I don't really trust.
