I like Sherriff Joe. At some point someone has to say:
1. You want higher housing prices immediately and higher grocery costs due to the migrant workers being sent back.
Or
2. Crack down on illegals and face the economic consequences.
But there is a 3rd and not much talked about element. Illegal Alien crime.
Do you know our prisons are filled with about 1/3 of illegal aliens. Not just Mexicans but all Illegal Aliens.
We really don't need to seal the borders and bring in the National Guard, only 1 thing needs to be done.
Stop the use of labor from Illegal Aliens. Boom end of problem. Hang out at day labor pickup points and contstruction sites, landscapers, maid services and fine the hell out of the employers and you will see an end to the problem. The problem is not one politican would ever do that.
One law I wish they would repeal is the one that allows illegals to come in plop have a baby and then the baby is an American citizen. Name one other country that does it. Can't because there is not another country other than us that does.
When I grew up in El Paso in the 60's it was common for the illegals to come in from Juarez have a baby and then go back to Juarez. Almost everyone had a live in maid in El Paso including us. Mom my...doesn't know... it Democrat (she has no idea about politics) told Lupe (our maid not her real name) all about our loophole so Lupe came in twice from Juarez. Lupe had 2 girls both of which have gotten degrees in United States in good fields. I think both were engineers. And everyday growing up Lupe would bring the girls across from Juarez into the United States to drop them off at school and every afternoon come back again and pick them up. Don't get me wrong Lupe is like a member of the family and has been for the last 40 years and I love her and the kids but if you multiply Lupe and her kids * a gazillion and you have a problem. Someday I need to tell the story of me and Lupes daughter Christina. Ayy yi yi :)
