I confess I've found his sort of New Testament mindset kind of interesting, as he's engaging on the
topic, and as a confirmed agnostic, I'm accustomed to accusations of heresy and heathenism, so it
doesn't bother me too much. But this latest stupidity and flagrant willingness to ignore the nose on
our collective face is just too much. I wonder what, or if he's thinking at all. I've worked with
fundamentalists before, and have sympathised with them on a human level, with their need, and their
fear, and as long as I think of them as just poor lost individuals clutching at something that they can
identify as a firmament, we can have a pretty good time, and maybe even get some decent work done. But then sometimes they do things that sort of reminds me that they're members of a large group who
I just fundamentally (ho ho) disagree with on almost a molecular level. And being a bit combative in
certain areas myself, it has led to problems. Then, when they become frustrated that I cannot see
their particular light the way they do, they sometimes get very aggravated, sometimes even
threatening my well-being. Which makes me pretty mad, as you may imagine. Mr. Mountain has
veered dangerously close to crossing that particular line with me. But it's like a scab on your elbow, difficult to resist scratching it.
