There are truths underneath our all of our fundamental misconceptions about our society as a whole that are so dreadfully dark, and so inherently invulnerable to reproach that the knowledge of them cannot but help to break one's heart beyond all repair. The knowledge of them leads one to either go utterly insane or to pull back and focus on love, and only love.
