Yeah I liked that video. When I was listening I was thinking hey this guy sounds something like Steve Earl.
Then I saw the review on Amazon. Thanks for the recommedations. Listening to Yokum now. Just quite can't get that scene out of Slingblade. "<BBT>Yep uh huh I aim to kill ya.....<DY>Well you just do that". out of my mind. Bad comeback Dwight....We thought you was a Toad...........oops wrong movie....

An excellent debut from a great singer-songwriter, April 22, 2000
The record label must have had a hard time deciding which song to pick as a single from this album (they chose "It Ain't Easy Being Me"), because there are so many great songs. Knight's voice is powerful and is matched by his impressive songwriting, which covers territory similar to Steve Earle. The sound is a good country-folk hybrid (smililar to Lucinda Williams). But the album's real gem is the last track, "William," a haunting accoustic story in which Knight bemoans the loss of an abused childhood friend whose only options in life took him down the wrong path. One of the best songs and albums of 1998 in any genre.
