Yeah, of all the questions that a Hillary Clinton primary win will raise, the largest is this--who of all the candidates has more power to activate the Republican base, and who has less power to activate the Democratic, progressive types like myself? There is only one answer to that question, obviously, and that is Billary. I confess that a Billary candidacy leaves me with a strong and pronounced feeling of dread. And that feeling only grows with the level of political nastiness coming off the Billary campaign, typified by Bill's snippety comparison yesterday of Obama 's candidacy with Jesse Jackson's 84 and 88 runs. Bill is clearly trying to rile the anti-black Southern Democrats, appealing to their least appealing qualities. Personally, my hopes are with Obama at present, as it seems that the powers that be have decided that Edwards is not to be allowed his day in court. But I still think Edwards is the most electable in the general election.
