Good topic! The 2000 decade for me, is about globalization and the MP3. More than any decade prior, Music is crossing borders and oceans faster and more freely. Sadly, the US Recording Industry is still lagging behind. I also feel music is borrowing more from other countries and cultures, so I feel there’s more cross genre referencing and styles than before. Soon I hope tags, label and genre names will be excluded. I also hope for the day when recording artists will release their albums or collection as a worldwide release.
