I finally got around to watching Jonathan Demme's documentary about Jimmy Carter tonight and I just
have to say that Demme's film is completely engaging and that Jimmy Carter is an American hero.
(DBIS favorite's Dan Bern and Alejandro Escovedo did the soundtrack.)I'm sure that Gene and Pat won't be happy with my assessment but I encourage them to go rent the
movie before they respond. They might be surprised at Carter's integrity, consistency, and chutzpah.
We should all become the old man Carter has become.
