you're right of course Block. Can't blame the kitten for being playful. It was just old Max's time I guess. We were glad that he was a very happy kitty just an hour or so before we found him dead. He went fast and silently and didn't have any health problems. It was just old age like you said. 23 is pretty darned good for a cat.
