I say it is still going down to the wire

With all due respect Pat, the lights are flickering out for John McCain. He's even pulling out of Michigan. The ship is sinking. I think Palin "won" this eve, not with facts, but presentation; I only winced a couple of times. She so often didn't answer the questions, but issued pre-determined bites. But a couple of times she sent Biden some zingers. Got to give the girl credit. She is way out of her league, but didn't flinch, looked straight at the cameras and the American public and tried her darndest, and I think she briefly restoked the dying embers. Love that wink, baby... But it won't last, it can't. McCain has shot himself so many times in the foot, it's really pathetic. The bullshit bailout bill, which will unfortunately pass (dig this, the market plutzed again today...reason? The bastards are afraid the bailout amount will not be "enough"...get the fuck outtta here...I'm serious), may give him a few more breaths but that's it. The credit will ultimately be seen by the left wing press as due to Obama's efforts; actually neither of them had anything to do with getting this thing passed, but the posturing was admirable. And for this McCain had to put his campaign on "hold"?? Gimme a break.

The economy will do what it's going to do, no matter who becomes president. Neither McCain nor Obama has a suitable proposal to "fix" the so-called broken health care situation (McCain actually doesn't have any plan), and once the dust settles, we still have the same old foreign problems to deal with..Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, North Korea...

Gospedi Pomelu (phonetic serbo-croatian for god help us).
