I don't think anyone believes that Obama is going to "fix" the financial crisis. I don't think he is a saviour or any of that superstar stuff...

As I have said before, regardless of who inherits the sticky wickett we find ourselves attached too, there is no way either candidate can come out of the next four years looking like a saint. In 7 years, regardless of who wins, we will all still be holding our breath.

If we are going to pretend to have an election and keep the illusion alive that our voice and vote matters, I at least want to create the image of supporting the candidate who best pretends to care about the folks who are the backbone of our failing rebuplic.

All candidates promise pie in the sky, it's always been. Obama just seems more genuine about the things he *wishes* he could do and that's probably the best we can hope for.
