I mean, "Good Vibrations" is astonishing to me still, but "Vega-Tables" I could definitely live without.I purchased "Smile" when it was finally released, after decades of hearing probably the same bootlegs everybody else heard, and hearing all the talk of this "unfinished masterpiece." I listened to it two or three times, and I don't think it's been out of the package since.This new album, however, I've kept in steady rotation on the kitchen stereo for days now. It makes me chuckle while the pasta boils. It makes me smile while the sausages brown. Great fun, this album. I've even started to sing along.
