... and a good number of doctors who might have shared Tiller's views were intimidated by relentless harassment, demonstrations, vandalism, and the occasional cold-blooded murder, and chose not to practice at all. All goaded along by Bill O'Reilly, no matter how much he protests now.

In a country where abortion is legal it's astonishing how few doctors actually participate. Some, of course, because they are morally opposed, but many more because they're scared.

The damn thing about terrorism is that it works. It scares people into doing all kinds of things they would, or wouldn't have done otherwise..
