In the culminating act of The Last Samurai, the truth of GUNS blares gattling in, does it not?  In the final mechanical monotones … (crank turners with tears of shock & loathing yell, silence this atrocity now, as) students of kill smear master-teachers & their mounts bullet-ridden across a field of what sort of dishonor, what sort of lost honor forever-after lost to fable & speeches behind $$ of carefully placed pulpits?  & those bullet-ridden, honorable to a fault but somehow tyrants to some extent as well … so what does that say …as weapons only grow more dangerous in every direction o these winds of what change

I’ve enjoyed shooting. A 9MM felt comfortable in my hands in rapid fire before a target, same with an M-16/AR-15 from any doable distance to a paper target. The smell of that particular carbon was pleasant and the slight ring just after the report was calming, but I sold all my guns when my first son was born to cleanse the home of simple triggers---you know I miss my lever-action 30/30 & pump Mossberg but a pistol was a recurring dare that I didn’t need anywhere near me in the wee hours up a tree.   My point being, I could do without a country &/or world dominated by the most popular devices next to transportation & high-speed communication: super-high-speed projectiles of destruction.

Back in feudal times it seems that even>then the biggest tomatoes on the vine stayed way back at the end of the line and cried, WE are going to win AT all costs!.   And the bodies of farmers & students & ego strewn full of blade & arrow & flaming stump holes & such.  But if a major cowpoke mover for End-run can be made president & high priest and a major shaker for rigs of oil and war construction/demolition/tools of the kill-trade-&-more be made his primary vice & apparently project-able future resident of presidential cuisine to be...of a once very believable notion of Country, then oftentimes I ask myself what the bloody‘ell we’re all debating here, dbisly; haven’t we been had almost to smithereens? & there is so much promise here, still, good does still beget good, people are often admirable n benign. ...Tap out y'r butt n listen to AM radio today (pocket your filter, please): the shit sustains. It sustains and remains and the stain of the lot is on us as we sing songs & carry the stone ..and ..row ... row ... row ...ye bastids!

Perhaps if our energies could be directed toward loon-detection, then we'd have something going! This, too, has problems, which I'm sure anyone can readily see.

Strange things happened to ‘our’ laws regarding gun ownership during the previous Stain. It’s kinda spooky if you take the time to think about it: Almost as if the uh turbulence is anticipated with a kind of oh rapt-twisted megalo-glee ………………… eech ... shuto-!

oh give me some time to plant another tree …this war torn life is weighing down on the lot n me

><<>><

(i know, i know, Mick, n i'm surely NOT waisting away the day over this. just dbis time [aren't we all] init?)
