Agree completely that these are two separate issues, and that they are combined by those opposed to reform as a way to cloud the issue.

It wouldn't be done if there weren't so much profit currently going to the health insurance industry.

I think I've mentioned before, that slave owners considered a healthy work force paramount in providing the labor to create wealth for themselves. They spent whatever it took keep their slaves healthy.

Why would we now put workers at risk by leaving health decisions in the hands of insurance companies whose bottom line is more important than the health of those they insure?

It is ludicrous to me that the public welfare referred to in the preamble of the Constitution has become dependent upon a few greedy bastards who, along with the bastards on Wall street couldn't care less about anyone's welfare but their own.
