yeesh… ..must’ve regressed there for fifteen minutes. Naïve childlike idealism..blechh. The oop alleyway of the cartoon youth…on ‘is way to “serving” ‘is country’s movers-n-shakers..in lieu of those hollow halls of fine arts & humanities.
<>>
on the literary side…
Even if you don’t read Koontz…or don’t admit it…or never even gave it a thought ‘cause you only read off the (fringe &) vanguard list, …try slummin’ it a while and read Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein trilogy. It’s a very cool, affecting, grotesque and hilarious fantasy romp through the back streets and basements and attics and armored secret passages of New Orleans, Tibet, ...and someplace just between the folds of spatial quantum mechanics.
Not introduced until book three…is Jocko. I think maybe David B. would get a kick out of Jocko. …As with any series, going in order is the best ticket..but Book Three is depth enough to dive right(/left) in. Kafka unchained in a melody, herein lies mankind defined.
