Just picked up two discs of Patty Griffin's the other day, Flaming Red and 1000 Kisses. Both are just damn good songwriting, and damn good music. I've heard her on compilations and a few radio shows through the years, but her music never gave me the itch to buy one of her albums. Then this past weekend, I'm watching an old episode of Sessions at West 54th on TRIO the other day, and I was just blown away by her live performance. Are there any other Patty fans out there! Has anyone seen her live? Why the hell isn't this women all over the dial?

I guess, because of people like me, who never sat down and really listened to her tunes. She's just a freking brill songwriter, and on a side note: she does the best Bruce Springsteen cover I ever heard!
