If there are CEOs & Owner-Operators making in the tens of millions yearly and VPs & athletes making tens of millions over a few years, etc., etc., then there is absolutely NO WAY that the surface of the earth can withstand the obduracy of our affluent patriarchs of gluttony. It really is that simple, I believe. & that doesn’t even account for perpetually hoarded Old Castled Money. We, the people, must get poorer & poorer. Even the doggedly successful ones.

& so the bloodletting continues towards some bastard abyss in the wave of mankind’s’ abjuration of humility, I guess. (Eternal sigh….) Or..what?

In reflection…

I said some prickly things on this thread. Satire in metaphor was my believed meaning, but more likely it stirred more pointedly than I had intended. Tonight I have regrets about it. Unfortunately a kind of naïve post adolescent presumptuousness occurs like a birth defect…. Sometimes for the good and sometimes for the worst, but it seems more a sin to dam it up altogether. So that leaves the one other option. Go with it and learn something.

If somebody shared a breakthrough in a big and meaningful way some coupl’a decades ago, when it was their turn to shine a light, there’s no denying they did their share. And we should count that as a true blessing. & pine no more. I mean.. it really is ALL of us that this predicament hangs upon. …No matter how large or small of stature, skills, and stand. Just because there are some who have (or have had) the gifts & gumption to sweat the details & set the bar incredibly high doesn’t mean the remainder of us should be seen resting on our laurels (or our asses). ...Probably I’ve been slower on the uptake than some of you more sentient dbis beings, but an ugly set course is really beginning to look carved in stone anymore, and I have finally begun to get this icky feeling there is little any of us will be able to do about it.

I mean, by all that is benevolent, there should be a pathway to integrity & justice for earth & humanity. But that well-aforementioned “house of cards” sure seems to have been built with a strong-assed foundation (in fuck all).
