I felt as a student that maybe I could add a little something on this...
In philosophy at the moment, we are studying Darwin and the theory of evolution. I'm finding it really interesting. Yesterday, we watched a video that was about how various religions worldwide are now incorporating the evolution theory into their teachings, but saying instead that while our bodies may have evolved from other animals, God gave us our souls. Although I personally don't believe that, I think it shows that Darwin's ideas were definitely plausible enough for religion to accept them.
