There's a Monthy Python song that goes along the lines of 'life's a piece of shit when you look at it'...does this help...? Marillion's Misplaced Childhood...? it ends on a positive note though and might not be what the person needs to reinforce the level of self cherishing and despondency needed to maintain a suicidal attitude...
