Kent,

That is a terrible story.  It goes beyond ignorance, rudeness and self-centredness.  Those little shits should have gotten a proper thrashing, and I'd throw in the arena people and the security guy as well.   Unbelievable!

That's one reason I never go to large venues anymore. Firstly, I don't like most of the groups who play them enough to go, and secondly, unless it is a club with reserved seating, forget it.  I've often wondered what gives with this standing-up business??   Why doesn't everybody just sit down..it's more comfortable, and then everyone can see.  For the people who wanna boogie, do it in front of the stage or back on the lawn...I mean, really!

You probably should have written to Dave Matthews.  He mighta not cared, but then again, you'd be surprised.  I've seen a couple of shows, where wheelchaired folks get the front row, or just to the side of the stage.   If my music ever gets outa my living room (probably not in this life time), and I get the gig of my dreams, I'm gonna put the wheelchairs (provided there's not six hundred of 'em) right up on stage-side.
