In Illinois, when it comes to child offenses, we have a "mandated reporter" law that demands certain occupations MUST report child offenses to authorities. I don't know all of those that are considered "mandated reporters" in Illinois, but do know these reporters included many public employees, teachers, police officers, medical workers and the like. So I would imagine in Illinois, coaches would be "mandated reporters." What a disgusting story. And then you have a bunch of idiotic students protesting the firing of this man. Many heads should roll...
